Book Blogger Hop – 10.01.20

I’ve got that Friday feeling, and that can only mean one thing. It’s time for this week’s Book Blogger Hop. Today’s question comes courtesy of Billy at Coffee Addicted Writer who asks:

Do you have a reading challenge for 2020?

The easy answer to this is yes. The more complicated answer involves a number of different reading challenges. First up is my annual Goodreads challenge. In 2019, I set myself the target of reading 75 books, but with all the tempting blog tours that were on offer, I quickly hit that target and actually ended up reading ??? books. I think I will find that hard to top, so this year I am setting myself a target of 100 books and we’ll see how that goes.

Alongside the simple Goodreads challenge, I have also set myself the challenge of bringing my NetGalley list down to a reasonable level, after it got crazily out of control in 2019. There were just far too many exciting books on offer! I must say though, I am looking forward to trying out their new audiobook offerings this year.

My final challenge is to try to read at least some of the books chosen as the monthly reads for the two Facebook book clubs I belong to, the Spoon Shortage Book Club and the Fiction Cafe. Both have regular reading challenges, and I fell by the wayside in a big way last year. This is especially embarrassing as I admin the Spoon Shortage Book Club and help set the challenges – oops! Must try harder in 2020.

On that note, I should really crack on with some of these challenges! What reading challenges are you setting yourself this year?
