Book Review

The Oddest Little Chocolate Shop – Beth Good

Our third book today is…

Treat yourself to something delicious . . .

When Clementine discovers that Monsieur Ravel’s beloved chocolaterie is about to close, she rushes to rescue it – without thinking through the consequences.

A lost Persian cat, a depressed but utterly gorgeous French chocolatier, an allergic shop assistant in search of true love, the oddest little chocolate shop Clementine has ever seen . . .

Can Clementine save them all, or has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Beth Good continues to impress in this, the third book of hers that I read back to back. I instantly fell in love with Clementine as she clattered her way disastrously through life, and I adored her older sister, the irrepressible Florrie. The interaction between this pair made me smile every time.

This book has some really sweet moments, and I am not just talking about the mouth watering chocolates. Beth’s quirky writing style really shines through in this book, and there were times that it brought a tear to my eye reading it.
